In 2019 the One Health Warriors from the University of the Free State are spreading the message about One Health in Kroonstad, a town in the central plateau region of the country. This year we aim to raise awareness of two common zoonotic diseases, rabies and brucellosis. Farm workers are at risk of contracting brucellosis due to their occupation. Rabies is transmitted from infected animals such as dogs and mongoose. Hence anyone who comes into contact with infected animals is at risk.
