Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS) is organizing, together with several Research Units, a conference to celebrate the International One Health Day. With this event, scheduled for November 3rd, 2021, we intend to raise awareness and educate about the challenges of human, animal, and environmental health, and reinforce the need for collaboration between different professionals and disciplines. The talks of the '1st Porto One Health Day' will have a hybrid format: face-to-face, from different places, but will also be transmitted through the Zoom platform.

The Master's "One Health: Human and Animal Public Health" commemorates the International Day "One Heath", on November 6th, addressing, in Portuguese, different current issues, in a One health perspective.

Antimicrobial resistance is a recognized global threat affecting the various aspects of health, including humans, animals and the environment. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lusófona University (FMV-ULHT) in Portugal joins the initiatives of the World Health Organization under the International Day of One Health (3 November) in order to contribute to the awareness of its students and the community in general to the importance of these themes.
