A Climate Justice course will be presented during the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research's Webinar focused on accelerating the teaching of climate justice. The course presented by Morehouse School of Medicine will address the effects of climate change on humans, animals, and the environment (One Health).

This year the symposium will consider the intricate connections between landscape and human health through the lens of drought in Utah. We will explore the impact of drought on the Great Salt Lake ecosystem and on the wider Utah landscape. Topics consider the effect of Utah's ongoing drought on: Health of GSL and the Utah economy,Water conservation, the risk of infectious diseases, Air and water quality, Agriculture and food security in Utah.

Fatal Jump: Tracking the Origins of Pandemics is a journey, by leaps and bounds around the world and through time, to examine the extraordinary circumstances—evolutionary, ecological, and otherwise— that converged and gave birth to some of our most wicked and unexpected plagues and pandemics. Beyond the traditional historical account of human infectious diseases, this book unveils commonalities and coincidences that, throughout the ages, consistently preceded or triggered the emergence of new infectious diseases or the flare-ups of old ones. The pace of disease emergence is accelerating.
