The ‘First International Symposium on ONE HEALTH Epigenomes and Microbiomes: From Soil to People’ will take place in Swissôtel, Quito, Ecuador, September 11-14, 2022, bringing together experts from around the world to share learnings across diverse disciplines focused on the need to implement the “ONE HEALTH / UNA SALUD approach to conserving healthy ecosystems, to produce and maintain healthy animals, and protect human health long-term”.

The project includes undergraduate students from the Veterinary Medicine and Pedagogy courses, who will develop educational activities about some zoonoses such as leptospirosis, sporotrichosis and rabies. The project will be developed with elementary school students during three weeks of November. After the intervention with the elementary school students, a training session will be held with the teachers from the schools; finally, there will be an activity to approach the theme with the teachers from the Pedagogy course at the University.
