One Health Run 2023 comme son nom l'indique est un marathon qui débute avec une cérémonie officielle le 03 novembre 2023 à Abidjan avec le thème : "Une seule santé: Passons des paroles aux actes". L'objectif est de matérialiser l'engagement des politiques. Il regroupe un ensemble d'évènements pour promouvoir l'approche une Seule Santé sur le territoire ivoirien. Les villes et régions ayant des clubs étudiants One Health ou platefome locale feront une action dans ce sens. Pour rappel, la Côte d'Ivoire compte 5 clubs étudiants One Health et 111 Plateformes départementales.

Exploring One Health

In today’s interconnected world, the health of our environment, animals, and humans is intricately linked. The One Health approach acknowledge this interdependence and seeks to foster a holistic understanding of health, encompassing not only human well-being but also the well-being of animals and the environment. One Health warriors will be hosting an event about one health approach. The event comprises of two parts: One Health quiz challenge; the purpose of the quiz is to test people’s knowledge and understanding of the One Health concept.

One Health investigation into the Emergence and evolution of SARS-CoV-2 in South Africa

The Centre for Emerging and Reemerging Arbo and Respiratory virus research is currently investigating the origins and evolution of the SARS-CoV-2 variants in the Gauteng province in South Africa using a One Health approach in three ways: 1. Immunocompromised Hosts: Active surveillance of HIV-uncontrolled individuals in Tshwane to study persistent SARS-CoV-2 infections in people with weakened immune systems. Longitudinal sampling will track the virus's evolution within this group.

One Health approach in service of excellence to Connect Air, Earth and Water in Amadou Mahtar MBOW University

As the international community, the world One Health day was celebrated on Friday, November 03, 2023. The official ceremony was presided over by the Coordinator of the Global One Health Security Multisectoral Program, Dr Adjaratou Diakhou NDIAYE. In 2017, Senegal set up the National Council for Global One Health Security, which is the state structure in charge of strengthening Health Security according to a One Health approach.
