November 3, 2023, marks the eighth annual One Health Day, a global campaign that celebrates and brings attention to the need for a One Health approach to address shared health threats at the human-animal-environment interface. A One Health approach can address a wide range of public health concerns like antimicrobial resistance, environmental health, food safety,  mental health, vector-borne diseases, zoonotic diseases, and much more.

On Friday, Nov 3. WesternU will kick off the ONE HEALTH awareness events around the WesternU Pomona Campus with our student awareness events. Our 6th annual WesternU One Health Day Panel will be held also on Friday (Nov 3) 4-7PM in HEC LH1.
Panelists include 9 WesternU faculty (CVM, OD, DPT) and our colleagues from Claremont Colleges, Oregon State University, and San Diego State University (SDSU) School of Public Health. The event will be held in person and recorded : it is open to WesternU faculty, staff, students and administrators.
