The one-day-at-a-time approach in the one-health model entails the work of intervention in priority areas such as animal production and the transformation of animal products into foods suitable for human consumption, The work of inspection in manufacturing plants, sacrifice and processing is vital to avoid food-borne diseases, In that sense our One Health day event focused on training future Veterinarians in these areas, as well as on postmortem inspection, taking and sending samples for epidemiological monitoring of Emerging and Reemerging diseases, and Antimicrobial Resistance.

During the week following One Health Day (November 4-8, 2024), we are encouraging Grade 5-9 teachers in Alberta (and beyond!) to complete the lesson 'Off Leash Obstacle - A One Health Lesson.' In this exercise, students will explore a One Health problem (letting dogs off leash in parks) from multiple perspectives, including perspectives representing people, animals and the environment. Students will work together to find solutions that consider the health and well-being of all living things and the environment we share.

Evento organizado por el Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero, en conjunto con el Comité Veterinario Permanente (CVP) y UC Davis Chile, que reunirá a diversos actores de los servicios públicos, y tiene como objetivo ser una instancia para presentar los avances y desafíos en torno a Una Salud, además de fomentar la colaboración entre instituciones que trabajamos en sanidad animal y seguridad alimentaria, superando las barreras institucionales.
