The University of Pittsburgh's One Health Day will discuss the One Health approach, emphasizing the critical role of sustainability in advancing global health. This event will include a plenary talk about sustainability in healthcare, student poster sessions, student presentations, and a play about the impacts of climate change on healthcare.

The complexity of disease causation needs to be clarified, taking into account the importance of approaching it from different perspectives. One concern put forth is that risk factor epidemiology might be forcing epidemiology to focus more on individuals and less on populations and public health, however public health is influenced by population level and individual-level determinants. Hence, the global context of population health comprises a variety of systems operating at various levels, and each constitutes the environment for the other.

The 1st Seminar on Animal Protection in Situations of Disasters and Climate Change, to share new approaches that focus on the inclusion of domestic and wild animals in responses to environmental disasters, bringing practical cases that can support new public policies for the safety of society and animals in emergency scenarios. The program includes lectures with renowned experts who are at the forefront of animal protection and One Health, including legal protection, government strategies, emergency shelters, water crisis, prevention culture and disaster response.
