The Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) will host, from Nov. 05 to 10, the "II Integra UFMS", an institutional event to connect the Community to all the teaching, research and extension produced by the University. During the Integra our team will present the results of "LeishNão Project" (health education on leishmaniasis), will offer a workshop about bat rabies prevention (using information from our research projects and in connection to the Bat Rabies Education Team/One Health Commission - "BRET/OHC"), and also will have a Talk Arena about "What's gonna be the next epidemic?".

In this first edition of the of the One Health Day at UFRRJ we will be introducing the concept of One Health and exploring current and future applications and challenges. Guest speakers will be addressing issues regarding zoonosis and neglected diseases and the effects of animal production and pollution on the environment. We will provide the opportunity to bridge the boundaries between undergraduate and graduate courses currently offered by the University through the presentation and discussion of ongoing projects within the scope of human, animal and environmental health.

The second edition of this event maintains its purposes of updating knowledge and preparing healthcare’s professionals and the academic community in regard to the importance of parasitic diseases in humans and animals in the Brazilian context. The cycle of speeches was carefully thought out in order to provide an inspiring enviroment of communication and also to bring to light the new perspectives on the epidemiology of parasitic diseases, as well as their diagnosis and treatment.
