One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of animals, ecosystems, people and plants. It recognizes the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the shared environment are closely linked and inter-dependent.

The Departments of Clinical Microbiology, Virology and Wellcome Trust Research Laboratory, CMC, Vellore together are conducting the Winter Symposium and the South Zone MicroCon 2024 on “AMR, VBDs & Zoonoses: One health one world, Connecting the Dots” from 1st to 3rd February 2024. This conference will provide our colleagues especially youngsters information about Diagnostic Stewardship which will lead to Anti-Microbial Stewardship which is essential not only to combat AMR, but also to identify the treatable VBDs and Zoonoses.

One Health Symposium “One Planet, One Health, and One Future" organised by the Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla Center for Infectious Diseases and Pandemic Preparedness on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in collaboration with the Oklahoma State University. We have made all efforts to make the day long program, involving various professionals working towards One Health, an engaging and meaningful discussion, leading to successful collaborations.
