The One Health Conference brings together veterinary, medical, environmental, insect, public health and other scientific health professionals under one roof to discuss how diseases spread among people, animals, and the environment. It is hosted by Harris County Public Health, in collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine-National School of Tropical Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. The annual two-day conference draws more than 300 professionals seeking quality continuing education and networking opportunities. The conference is committed to creating healthy, resilient communities by promoting and sustaining the health and well-being of humans, animals and the environment by: • Promoting One Health principles, • Aligning education and communication efforts, • Offering CEUs, • Educating others on the shared diseases between animals, insects, and humans, and • Creating and enhancing multidisciplinary community partnerships.
