The School of Veterinary Medicine at University of California Davis has been awarded a 5 yr NIH IPERT grant to mentor 100 undergraduate students in STEM and 50 Early Career Scientists in One Health. The goal is to increase transdisciplinary research, particularly at the nexus of environmental toxicology and One Health. This is a national program in the US, and it is mostly virtual. The One Health Contest, organized by the Research Center for Infectious Diseases (RCID) at International University – VNU-HCMC, is a science competition that aims to inspire and empower the next generation of biomedical and public health leaders.

The contest promotes awareness of the One Health concept—the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health—among high school and university students. Through this initiative, RCID fosters scientific curiosity, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address current and emerging global health challenges.
