During the month of november, actions were developed in vulnerable communities, such as one called Serrote Liso, where about 68 families live, in very precarious conditions. Part of the residents earn their income from collecting materials at the city dump, which is located in the nearby. In the community, there is no electricity, treated water, or basic sanitation. Our work began with interviews aimed at residents, thus tracing a brief diagnosis of the situation, which allowed us to characterize and identify the most relevant aspects of the territory. From this diagnosis, it was possible to plan health education actions and assistance measures that collaborate to promote human, animal and environmental health. Within the animal health, we promoted vaccination, deworming, castration and testing for leishmaniosis. In addition, through donations, we were able to distribute some pet food. The pet tutors received information about custody responsible and environmental care. Regarding the health of the human population, the students provided assistance and guidelines in nursing and pharmacy. The pharmaceutical orientation was about the proper use of medications, according to medical prescription,
as well as the correct disposal of drugs, foccusing especially on the antibiotics. The women participated of conversation focused on importance of breast self-examination in cancer prevention and also received guidance on family planning and contraceptive methods. Children participated in activities of health education in the field of dentistry, in which they received guidance so playful and participatory about the correct method of brushing teeth and the importance of oral health. The actions were developed by students of different health courses, as Nursing, Farmacy, Biomedicine, Veterinary Medicine and Nutrition of the COESU - Coletivo de Extensão em Saúde Única do UNIFIP - Centro Universitário de Patos.
