One Health Day Conference - Hands Across the Species

The Caribbean College of Family Physicians and the Jamaica Veterinary Medical Association proudly announce our joint One Health Day Conference 2018, to be held on Sunday November 4, 2018 at the Alhambra Inn, 1 Tucker Avenue, Kingston 6. This will mark the first time in Jamaica that human and veterinary health professional organizations will come together to explore some of the linkages and parallels between human and animal health as part of the all-encompassing One Health arena. Topics covered will include zoonoses such as leptospirosis, the influenzas and, rabies in the Caribbean, wellness for health professionals, the treatment of dog bites in both humans and animals and the environmental and public health issue of dog behavior and population control.
