One Health Synchrony to Empower Public (OH-STEP)

On the eve of World One Health Day 2023, the One Health Synchrony to Empower Public (OH-STEP) is organized by the Centre for One Health Education, Research and Development (COHERD), which is the centre of One Health within the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPH-G), first Public Health University in India. The One Health photography competition served as a lens through the intricate connection between human, animal and environmental health, emphasizing the need for a unified approach to healthcare. The images celebrated the shared ecosystem and emphasized the importance of artistic expression in promoting well-being. The One Health poster competition showcased nationwide students’ creative expression of the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The contest aimed to educate and inspire a diverse audience, highlighting themes like zoonotic diseases, biodiversity, and antimicrobial resistance. The community engagement program featured a flash-mob performance at public places. This innovative approach fascinated and communicated One Health principles, risks and zoonotic disease.
