The One Health Day Symposium, November 1 – 2, 2018, brings together multiple disciplines working locally, nationally and globally to address the spread of disease, promote health and emphasize the connection among humans, animals and the environment. One Health Day, celebrated annually on November 3, is an international campaign co-coordinated by the One Health Commission, the One Health Initiative and the One Health Platform Foundation. A panel of WesternU faculty involved in One Health on local or global scale will be sharing their experiences with WesternU professional medical/veterinary/health science students and faculty during a 1.5hr event on Friday afternoon (Nov 2nd). Each presenter will have 10+5min time to present. At the end, a panel discussion/QA session will conclude the event. The OHD event will be video recorded as an educational activity for all 1st or 2nd yr university students as a part of our Interprofessional Education Class (IPE). The event will be live streamed to WesternU COMP Oregon Campus.
