NASA Earth’s Applied Sciences Program has prepared a scientific post on the Making Space for Earth blog to commemorate One Health Day 2019. This campaign promotes three public health projects that use Earth observation data to address environmental health risks. These three projects are related to risk of ultraviolet radiation (“New Map Shows Risk of Sunburn across the United States”), mosquito-borne disease transmission (“NASA Helps Fight the Mosquito Bite Coast-to-Coast”), and air pollution (“NASA Data Strengthens United States’ Air Quality Warnings”).
