The global and national One Health paradigm necessitates the cross-disciplinary and collaborative approach to address the interlinked health of human, animals and the environment/agriculture. Sensitization of One Health approach in Pakistan has been achieved in the last five years and UAF played an important role by organizing three successful national symposia on One Health. Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity and platform of mutual research, teaching and capacity building among the participating stakeholders and organizations.

One key aspect of One Health is the understanding that animals can serve as early warning signs of potential human illness, so studying and tracking diseases in animals can help prevent illnesses and disease outbreaks in people.
As the interdependence and connectedness between humans, animals and the environment continue to increase, embracing the One Health approach is the most effective and efficient way to protect public health. So a seminar is planned on one health day at NIH Pakistan with the stakeholders and participation of different sectors.
