On Friday, Nov 3. WesternU will kick off the ONE HEALTH awareness events around the WesternU Pomona Campus with our student awareness events. Our 6th annual WesternU One Health Day Panel will be held also on Friday (Nov 3) 4-7PM in HEC LH1.
Panelists include 9 WesternU faculty (CVM, OD, DPT) and our colleagues from Claremont Colleges, Oregon State University, and San Diego State University (SDSU) School of Public Health. The event will be held in person and recorded : it is open to WesternU faculty, staff, students and administrators.

The One Health Symposium, sponsored by Student Chapter of American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) of Western University of Health Sciences on Monday, November 6, 2023, features CVM professors discussing the integrated One Health approach to medicine. This event highlights the interconnection of human, animal, and environmental health, showcasing collaborative strategies to address global health challenges across disciplines. Attendees will gain insights into disease prevention, environmental conservation, and the promotion of public health through a holistic perspective.

Louisiana One Health in Action (LOHA) is excited to announce the 4th annual Walk & Wag for One Health 5K, 3k Fun Run, and Educational Event. The event will be held at The Grove at Heritage Square in Sulphur on November 11, 2023 in celebration of the International One Health Day. We are honored to share the date this year with Veterans Day and will include some special One Health topics that impact those who serve. The 5K will be a timed competitive race, and the 3k Fun Run will be open to both people and their dogs to celebrate One Health Day!
