These are regional clinical rounds (1h) for infectious diseases physicians, allied health professionals and trainees; attendance is virtual and is usually >100. Learning Objectives: To (re)introduce the concept of One Health and how it can be applied to current challenges in research and response to emerging viruses To use specific examples and provide an update on emerging viral zoonoses, such as highly pathogenic avian influenza, to illustrate how One Health approaches are essential to an effective response To discuss One Health training opportunities

During the week following One Health Day (November 4-8, 2024), we are encouraging Grade 5-9 teachers in Alberta (and beyond!) to complete the lesson 'Off Leash Obstacle - A One Health Lesson.' In this exercise, students will explore a One Health problem (letting dogs off leash in parks) from multiple perspectives, including perspectives representing people, animals and the environment. Students will work together to find solutions that consider the health and well-being of all living things and the environment we share.
