Join us for KC One Health Day on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the K-State Olathe campus. This year's theme is Mental Health. The One Health approach recognizes that a healthy mind is intrinsically linked to a healthy body, healthy animals and a healthy planet. Environmental stressors like climate change, pollution and habitat loss can directly impact human mental health, leading to increased rates of anxiety, depression and stress. Similarly, the health and well-being of animals, including companion animals, livestock and wildlife, can significantly affect human psychological states.

The University of Pittsburgh will host its second annual One Health Day to explore the relationship between our health and the environment. Activities include: -A plenary talk by Dr. Ann-Christine Duhaime, senior pediatric neurosurgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Nicholas T. Zervas Distinguished Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School, titled The Brain, Climate Change, and the Future We Choose. -Student poster and research competitions -Announcement of the Sustainable Healthcare Challenge winners
