One Health is a transdisciplinary approach to achieving sustainable and holistic health and well-being for people, animals and their shared environment. The One Health approach addresses issues such as zoonoses – infectious diseases that can be transmitted between animals and humans – as well as challenges in food safety, water and sanitation, and antimicrobial resistance. It is a collaborative, multi-sectoral and transdisciplinary approach that addresses local, regional, national and global levels.
