Olimpíadas Uma Só Saúde [One Health Olympics]

Starting on November 3, the One Health São João group, from the São João Hospital in Porto, Portugal, is inviting patients and other members of the São João community to take part in the Olimpíadas Uma Só Saúde (“One Health Olympics”). The initiative aims to celebrate the One Health Day, raising awareness about the connections between human, animal, and environmental health. Participation in the Olympics is voluntary and can be done through the My São João app. The initiative is directed to hospital patients and other members of the São João community. Participants are invited to answer multiple-choice questions related to the One Health concept, environmental health, occupational exposures, mental health, zoonoses, vector-borne diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and food safety and security. The participants with the highest scores will advance to the final round, and the three winners will receive a One Health Prize. In a playful way, we hope that people will recognize the concept of One Health in their daily lives and understand the important role of promoting Global Health.
