In today’s interconnected world, the health of our environment, animals, and humans is intricately linked. The One Health approach acknowledge this interdependence and seeks to foster a holistic understanding of health, encompassing not only human well-being but also the well-being of animals and the environment. One Health warriors will be hosting an event about one health approach. The event comprises of two parts: One Health quiz challenge; the purpose of the quiz is to test people’s knowledge and understanding of the One Health concept.

By increasing awareness of trade-offs and co-benefits, One Health economics can help to improve efficiency and effectiveness of resource allocation, including for disease prevention and control. This inaugural One Health Economics “Mini-Congress” will shine a light on state of knowledge, promising methods, and findings from analytical work to promote a broader understanding and assist in the operationalizing of One Health in South Africa, the region, and globally.
